Kurt Angle Interview – wwe.com

Posted by nellydoom on August 26, 2006

god 3 posts in one day im on fire. anyway went to check wwe.com this evening and i was faced with this on the front page.
Beaten and battered

By Michael “The Fag” Cole

August 26, 2006
“My body is so beat up and run down, I can’t even think straight,” Kurt Angle tells WWE.com in an exclusive interview Saturday concerning his early release from his contract with World Wrestling Entertainment. Angle and WWE officials mutually agreed to end Angle’s relationship with the company on Friday.

Angle says seven years of non-stop wrestling has taken a major toll on his body, his mind and his family. “I need my body to reheal and rehab, I have done this for too long without a break. I haven’t been able to really enjoy my life. I haven’t seen my family, I’ve had problems with medication – I’m just fried physically and mentally.”

Angle’s business manager David Hawk claims, “Kurt’s in a tremendous amount of pain, he’s used prescription medication to deal with it. Kurt has come to the conclusion that unless he can get in the ring without the use of pain medication then he doesn’t need to be in there. He realizes he was just endangering himself and his opponents.”

The last straw for Angle seems to have occurred on August 13th, 2006, at an ECW live event in White Plains, New York. Angle was wrestling Rob Van Dam in a match where both competitors were fueled by the passionate ECW fans. “The crowd was wild,” Angle says. “Early on in the match, I pulled my groin, but I kept going, feeding off the crowd. Then I pulled my abdominal muscle off the pelvic bone, but I kept going as the crowd grew more wild. Finally, I blew out my hamstring, but we finished the match. The crowd stood and applauded – a standing ovation and that meant so much to me.”

Ironically that would be Angle’s last match.

WWE.com asked Angle if he would ever return to competition in WWE. Angle says “I can’t tell you that right now, I need to heal up mentally and physically. Until then, I can’t even think about returning.”

But Angle says WWE Chairman Vince McMahon told him the door is always open. “Vince says when I’m ready, if I’m ever ready, to come back just sign on the dotted line. I’ll tell you if I do return I’m going back to my roots, training on the mat like my amateur days. Longevity is the key.”

Hawk seems confident Angle will be in the ring again someday.

Angle has a final message to his legion of WWE and ECW fans. “Don’t be concerned, this move was for the best. It was a privilege to be able to compete for all of you. I’d like to say thank you.”

WWE.com will continue to follow up on Kurt Angle over the next several months.

glad they was real with it and didnt try to cover it up with anything.

as i said before get well soon kurt wrestling needs you.

Kurt Angle – Released

Posted by nellydoom on August 26, 2006

Angle released
Aug. 25, 2006
Due to personal issues, Kurt Angle has been granted an early release from his contract. WWE looks forward to establishing a new relationship with Kurt in the near future.
The only Olympic gold medalist in WWE history, Kurt Angle arrived in 1999 and quickly became one of the most decorated champions in sports-entertainment history. “The Wrestling Machine” is not only a six-time World Champion, but also held the Intercontinental Championship and WWE Tag Team Championship; he also won the 2000 King of the Ring tournament. Recently joining ECW, Angle’s unmatched intensity was rivaled only by his technical and athletic in-ring prowess.

… im speechless i mean i know angle was suffering lots of injuries and there was rumours about a pain killer addiction but i never thought wwe would let him go like this. i mean put him in rehab or force him to heal his injurys. hopefully he gets through all of this and returns even if its just as a general manager or a manager.

GCSE D-Day

Posted by nellydoom on August 24, 2006

As you may know today was results day for GCSE’s. im relieved that i got just enough to get into sixth form college but im personally disapointed in my results. i did work hard revising and such but obviously it was not enough. im sure that if i did my GCSE’s now that i would get higher marks just by the fact that ive matured more since i took the exams and i realise how important they are.

anyway heres my results:

Maths – C

English – Lit C / Lang D

Science – C

History – C

Drama* – D

Business Studies – D

R.E – D

Applied ICT – im so ashamed of this one im not revealing it yet.

*This was a subject i didnt even choose but given to me by accident but i decided to stick with it because it was easy and fun. the result really annoyed me because i think that my mark suffered on the practical because the teacher was the marker and she disliked me. although i know there is no excuse because my written was fairly shockingly bad.

anyway hope everyone else got the marks they deserved and get to do what they want in their future.

ECW Review + Smackdown Spoilers

Posted by nellydoom on August 10, 2006

Results

Mike Knox def. Tommy Dreamer

Mike Knox(w/ kelly) Vs Tommy Dreamer

pretty boring match in my opinion tommy comes out all bandaged up from last week and theres a bit of back and forth then tommy hits his DDT and pins but Heyman and his enforcers(bashams) pull him out of ring and beat him down. they force him into the corner and go to attack him more then sandmans music hits and he comes out to defend him

Heyman says that he would make a tag match with dreamer and sandman vs mike knox & test but dreamer isnt in no condition to fight so itll be handicap and not extreme rules so no singapore caning.

Knox & Test Vs. Sandman

Pointless match with Sandman getting D.Q’d for caning them.

Kevin Thorn(w/ Ariel) Vs Al Snow

Thorn & Ariel(whos quite a hotty) enter the ring and Ariel hangs upside down twisted in the rops like a bat which looked cool then al snow enters to an ok reception especially since its a smackdown crowd. al snow gets a couple of punches in and then just gets squashed i like Thorns moveset though especially the stunner move using the ropes.  he wins using a cruxifix powerbomb.

then theres a couple of vignettes and promos including CM Punk talking about his first match and announcing his next one will be next week, rene dupree announcing hes coming to ECW (the guys talented but his gimmicks suited to smackdown alot more. then big show comes in the ring and says it doesnt matter who becomes number 1 contender hell crush everyone like crackers for his soup. a balls mahony vignette where he calls himself handsome was also shown.

then came the main event i was looking forward to this match but was slightly f’ed off with teh fact it wasnt under extreme rules and it was quite obvious what the finish was going to be. but there was alot of good back and forth action with sabu proving he wasnt just a suicidal, homocidal, genocidal maniac but was also a talented mat wrestler. it lasted a good 15 minutes or so then came the predictable finish of a rob van dam run in. he attacked angle with a botched vandaminator(look below) and then gave sabu the thumbs up then he did the sabu post and skateboarded the chair into sabu in the corner.

RVD’s Botched Van daminator:

All in all was a good night would of been better with last weeks first matches and this weeks last matches but hey its constantly improving its easily surpassed smackdown and is nearly on par with TNA.

 Smackdown! Spoilers

Credit: Chadd Flatt and PWInsider.com

I attended the Smackdown/ECW taping in Nashville. Here is the results as best as I can remember. I’m sure the show will be heavily edited and the matches may end up in a much different order.

Great Khali & Daivari come out to open the night. Daivari talks about how Taker doesn’t deserve the be in the same ring as Khali and how they do not accept Taker’s Last Man Standing match for Summer Slam. This brings out Taker who disposes of Daivari and gives Khali a chokeslam.

Funaki pinned Chuck Palumbo with a rollup.

Gregory Helms pinned Tatanka. Tatanka had his foot under the bottom rope during the pin. He explained this to the ref and it seemed as if they were making it an important aspect of the finish. Just another “rule” that they acknowledge when they want to I guess.

Daivari was shown in Teddy Long’s office complaining about the Undertaker putting his hands on him. Long said Khali would not have to face the Undertaker at Summer Slam but he would face him next week on Smackdown in a Last Man Standing Match. Daivari was upset but not as upset as I was to know we would have yet another match between these two.

Ashley was shown back stage talking to Luke Perry, who is the celebrity judge for tonight’s Diva Search Talent Contest. Kristal Marshall interrupts and her and Ashley exchange hateful words and scowls.

Idol Stevens & KC James w/ Michelle McCool defeated Paul London & Brian Kendrick in a non-title match. The thing that stood out in this match was McCool and her likeness to Stacy Keibler. She even had on a very short skirt and made her entrance like Stacy with the slow bend over the middle rope, not that I’m complaining.

The Miz came out followed by the four hottest wastes of time I’ve ever seen. He introduced actor, Luke Perry, to serve as a special celebrity judge for the Diva Talent Contest. Each contestant had 1 minute to show off her talent. Jen was up first. Her talent was that she could kick butt like “Stone Cold” Steve Austin. There was a guy in the ring with pads and sparring gear on. Jen threw a few kicks at him, landed one in the groin then proceeded to pour two beers all over her breasts. That my friends is talent! The crowd booed her pretty bad. Layla was next. She said she would lay the law down. She was dressed like a cop. She did a dance number and ripped off her shirt. She did the splits at several different angles and seemed to be having fun. She bumped into Jen who got in her face and a catfight was on! The crowd enjoyed that. Milena was next. She was going to do a martial arts demonstration. She said she was too hot and promptly removed her karate uniform before doing an over the shoulder thrown on the sparring partner. Then she tried to say something but I couldn’t hear her for all the boos. J.T. was last. She had written a poem. I couldn’t hear most of it for the boos. She seemed to be ripping on the other 3 girls a little bit. Jen got in her face and J.T. said, “You wanna talk s***” Yeah, that will have to have some editing work there. Then Luke Perry, who obviously knew none of the four girls names, asked the crowd to pick a winner by cheers. Layla is the only one that got any cheers so she was declared the winner. I cannot begin to describe how bad this segment was. They will have to sweeten the crowd noise or it will look even worse on TV.

Rey Mysterio vs. Mr. Kennedy….Kennedy by DQ when Chavo ran in. Rey Rey and Chavo brawled in the aisle and Vicki Guerrero came out to try and stop them and ended up getting knocked down during the fight. Rey kept apologizing but she pushed him away.

Vignette was shown stating that the Boogeyman is coming back! Finally, some quality 5 star matches on Smackdown again.

Vito w/ dress and thong beat Sylvan by submission with a dress over the head armbar. I can’t even believe I just typed that. One funny spot saw Sylvan go for the sunset flip only to look up Vito’s dress and scream and crawl to the corner.

Teddy Long was shown in his office talking to Montel Vontavious Porter, (or something like that, MVP get it?). He said that his agent would holla at Teddy tomorrow at 4 p.m. and they could get the MVP signed.

Sylvester Turkay, w/ Elijah Burke, squashed a nameless enhancement talent.

Trailer for The Marine was shown. It doesn’t look terrible but it did have 5 major explosions in one 3 minute trailer. That has to be against some movie code or unwritten rule or something.

King Booker and Queen Sharmell made their way down to ringside to join the commentary team.

Batista & Lashley beat Regal & Finlay. Regal and Finlay miscommunicated which led to a collision that left Finlay dazed. The big men hit dual spears and Batista gave Fit a spinebuster for the 3 count. Regal & Finlay also argued backstage on the way to the ring. Hopefully we will see a feud between the two. Finlay’s little buddy made an appearance. Finlay and Lashley were outside the ring and Lashley was down. Finlay pulled out his leprechaun from under the ring and slammed him onto Lashley.

Then ECW went live. They brought out the ECW set and put it right in front of me. It was off to the right of the Smackdown entrance. I was only two rows away! ECW got the crowd more vocal than anything that happened on SD.

Dark Match Main Event after ECW went off the air: King Booker w/ Sharmell -vs- Batista for the World Heavyweight Title. Slow easy-going match between the two until Sharmell low-blowed Batista and got the King DQ’d. Booker is easily the most entertaining part of SD right now. His facials are second only to Vinny Mac’s.

Other Notes:

Building was about 70% full. Some upper seats and three sections on the hard camera side were empty.

The Angle/Sabu match was good live. RVD’s run in lost steam when he whiffed on the Van Daminator. The crowd still loved seeing him.

Crowd was pretty much into most things. They crapped all over the Diva Search segment. ECW got a nice chant. A few boring chants here and there during the Angle/Sabu match. I guess some folks were expecting a non-stop supply of high spots and broken tables. All in all a good night of action with all the big Smackdown and ECW stars except CM Punk. I really wanted to see him work live. Maybe next time.

Big Brother

Posted by nellydoom on August 9, 2006

Heres what i think of this years housemates

Ashliene

ash can be summed up with one word – FAKE. she puts on a act to be all goody goody i.e int eh nominations she says she cant nominate….WOMAN IF YOU CANT NOMINATE WHY ENTER BB IN THE FIRST PLACE!!!!! grace also summed her up well with 1 word – MOOSE. she also is an attention whore and a racist(in the secret house on the frist night she reffered to that black guy as leeroy). she needs to be removed immediatly.

Glyn
hes the one of the only housemates i actually like. hes genuine and came in big brother for the experiance not for the fame or the cash he wanted fun and this is why he didnt get along with snoozy susie. he stood up to the whole house when they were slagging grace off and showed he wasnt scared to disagree with the rest of them and that hes not a sheep(no pun). i hope he wins because he deserves it most

GLYN TO WIN

Imogen
shes a very pretty girl but that only works on me for a couple of days then i see through it. shes very boring and self absorbed but doesnt annoy me as much as the rest of the housemates.

Jenny

well jennys the other housemate that i like. shes innocent and likes fun im glad shes got a free pass to the final because she is fun to watch.

Pete

im sick of people saying “lay off pete hes lovely and genuine” whoever thinks this is either very dumb or very niave. watch teh show and youll see that when he knows the cameras are on him that he over exadurates his tourrettes(which must be a very light case of tourretes, ill come to this in a second) and is very fake and needs attention constantly. now on to his tourretes, anyone who knows what tourretes is knows its a syndrome which affects the part of the brain which thinks of words we know are wrong and that we shouldnt say – it does not make you constantly repeat “w***er” and make animal noises. he is very boring, fake and is in it for the money as we saw when he voted tacticly this week when he nominated glyn.

please people wise up to pete and vote him out

Richard

he gets alot of stick for being b****y and i can see why its annoying but hes also good at giving advice and is a leader in the house. hes definatly in it for the money but i know hes got no chance of winning so im not bothered.

Tonights E.C.W

Posted by nellydoom on August 8, 2006

As i start to post in this blog more and more in the coming weeks youll notice that

im a huge wrestling fan, i stop watching it after the “invasion” storyline but the new storylines like D-X’s return, ECW returning, Sting in T.N.A(no not T*ts n a$$) and other things have got me watching again.

Well tonight is another episode of the new ECW and for the first time since it started its an all ECW main event with no WWE guys.

heres wwe.com’s official preview for tonight:

Music City gets extreme

August 8, 2006

ECW on Sci Fi will be live this week from Nashville, Tenn., which is known as “Music City USA.” But after the events of the past few weeks, will the fans end up seeing a massacre in Music City?

In the main event, Kurt Angle will meet Sabu one on one for the first time ever in a No. 1 Contender’s Match. The winner will become top contender to Big Show and the ECW World Title, an opportunity that both men no doubt covet wholeheartedly. In fact, this is a chance Sabu has been craving for several weeks.

Last week, Paul Heyman ordered Sabu to leave the Hammerstein Ballroom after once again denying his request for a match against Big Show. However, Sabu didn’t obey Heyman’s orders; he came to the ring after Big Show’s match with Batista, attacking the champion with a chair and sending him crashing through a table at ringside.

One needs only to ask Tommy Dreamer or Little Guido what can happen when you are on Heyman’s bad side. While he may be on a quest for a chance at the ECW World Title, will Sabu find himself in the same position…or better yet, will the Suicidal, Homicidal, Genocidal, Death-Defying Maniac care?

Plus, CM Punk made an impressive debut last week, defeating Justin Credible. The fans at Hammerstein Ballroom seemed to be behind the straight-edge Extremist; will he be in action this week to try and continue that momentum?

im looking forward to the Angle/Sabu match and itll be good to see their styles clash. also looking forward to a CM punk match cuz i gotta say that kids got talent hes got lots of potential.

anyways ill post a review of the show up tomorrow when ive watched it ill also post up smackdown! spoilers.
